Crohn’s Disease Diet – Is Dairy a Food That Is good for You

I never questioned having dairy as part of my Crohn’s Disease diet in my earlier years as it seemed ‘normal’. Everyone I knew used dairy so why would there be a problem with it? I would find out the truth later in life. Dairy products are not a natural food of the human diet. Humans have only been using dairy for a couple of thousand years, our bodies are not designed to digest it very well.

Modern humans Homo Sapiens have been on earth for about 100, 000 years or so. Some say longer be say it is around a 100, 000 years. Our physiology and digestive systems are still the same as they were at that time 100, 000 years ago, they are still developed to eat what our ancestors ate. That is a diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables and food that is mostly unrefined, unprocessed and didn’t contain dairy.

The milk from cows as well as any other animal canada goose jackets is to feed the new born offspring of that species while they grow and become strong. After a period of time the young animal will be weaned and no longer will get milk from its mother. At that time the offspring will be eating normal food for that kind of animal. As an example calves will begin to eat grass solely as their diet after they have been weaned from their mother.

Humans are the only species that still drink milk throughout their adult life. Some people don’t remember that we are still animals and nature still applies to us, even though we don’t live in the wild.

Isn’t Dairy A super Food?

Dairy shouldn’t be considered a natural food for humans. When consuming dairy you may not get any ill effects, but it will still be taking toll on your body. Many countries with high dairy consumption have higher percentages of people that have problems with their bones such as osteoporosis. Countries that have lower consumption of dairy have better bone health. The country where I live has high dairy consumption and also has big problems when it comes to bone health, especially for people later in life.
